Screenshots, recordings, text recognition, search indexing, and background removal are processed on your Mac and stay there. The app has no account system and does not send usage analytics.

The app connects to the network to check for signed software updates. Like any web request, an update check includes standard connection metadata such as an IP address. It does not include your name, email, captures, or license key.

When you activate a license, the app sends the signed license in the body of an HTTPS request together with a random installation public key and proof that this installation controls the matching private key. The signed license includes the email address it was issued to, which the activation service reads while verifying the signature but does not retain. The request does not include captures, recordings, device names, or hardware identifiers.

The isolated Show & Tell activation service stores only keyed fingerprints of the license and installation public key, plus coarse activation timestamps. It does not store the raw license, email, installation public key, IP address, or hardware identifiers in its application database or logs. Cloudflare may process standard connection metadata to route and protect the request. After a successful activation, the service returns a signed receipt that the app stores in Keychain and verifies locally so licensed use can continue offline.

You can browse without an account. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Cloudflare processes standard request data to serve and protect the site.

Stripe processes purchases and collects the payment and billing information needed to complete the transaction. We receive the purchase identifiers, status, amount, currency, and email address needed to issue and support your license. SideQuest does not receive your full card number.

We store the purchase record, email address, signed license key, and update-entitlement dates in Cloudflare D1. Resend delivers transactional license emails. We use this information to deliver your key, prevent duplicate fulfillment, and help recover it when you contact support.

We do not sell your information or use a purchase email for marketing without separate consent. We may retain payment and tax records where required for accounting, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new effective date.
